Beneath a seemingly intact membrane, saturated insulation holds heat and cold differently than the dry areas around it, and that contrast is exactly what a calibrated thermal camera captures. We scan flat and low-slope roofs across the Puget Sound region to map wet zones that stay damp long after the visible surface dries. This matters here because our long stretches of overcast, damp weather rarely give a compromised roof the chance to dry out on its own. By imaging the whole field, we catch subsurface saturation while it is still a coating repair rather than a full tear-off.
