We repair leaking roof valleys where two roof planes funnel the heavy Northwest rainfall into one fast-moving channel.
A roof valley carries more water than any other part of the roof, and in our climate that concentrated flow makes valley flashing failure a frequent source of interior leaks. Debris from surrounding conifers, moss buildup, and corroded or undersized metal all conspire to back water up under the shingles. We clear the valley, evaluate whether the existing flashing is corroded, too narrow, or simply clogged, and rebuild it so the channel sheds cleanly again. Open metal valleys are often the most reliable choice here because they handle high volume and shed the needle debris that plagues Puget Sound roofs. We also check the shingle terminations along the valley, since improper cuts let water creep sideways.
