Synthetic shake is molded from durable polymers using castings taken from genuine hand-split cedar, so each tile carries authentic grain, splits, and depth. In the wet Puget Sound climate, natural cedar constantly battles moss, algae, and dry rot, but synthetic shake shrugs off moisture and never needs the periodic treatments or replacement that cedar demands. The tiles are lightweight and cut cleanly, letting our crews build crisp courses and tight detailing at hips, valleys, and rakes. With strong fire ratings and impact resistance, synthetic shake gives homeowners the warm, textured cedar look with far less maintenance and a much longer service life.

Our Process

1) Assess the deck and ventilation and lay out shake courses and exposure; 2) Apply synthetic underlayment with ice-and-water protection at vulnerable areas; 3) Install synthetic shake tiles in staggered, varied courses for a natural look using proper fasteners; 4) Complete ridge, hip, and flashing details, then perform cleanup and final inspection
