Solar panel removal and reinstall safely detaches your existing array so the roof underneath can be replaced, then remounts the same panels once new roofing is down.
Many Puget Sound roofs installed before the solar boom now need replacement while a working array still sits on top. We carefully de-energize, label, and remove each panel and rail set, store it protected from the weather, and reroof the clean deck. The panels then go back on fresh flashing and blocking, often with upgraded standoffs that outperform the original mounts. This spares you from scrapping still-productive panels just because the shingles wore out first.

1) Coordinate shutdown and disconnect the array with a licensed electrician; 2) Remove and label panels, rails, and hardware for protected storage; 3) Complete the roof replacement with new flashing at every mount point; 4) Reinstall the panels, reconnect, and verify the system produces normally
