A roof de-icing system runs heat cable along eaves, valleys, and gutters to keep meltwater channels open and stop ice dams from forming.
On problem roofs where attic corrections alone cannot stop ice dams, self-regulating heat cable creates a path for meltwater to drain freely. We lay out the cable in the eave and valley zones most prone to freezing across our foothill and higher-elevation service areas. Systems can be manual, thermostatic, or moisture-and-temperature activated to save energy during dry cold. Proper design keeps the runoff moving instead of freezing at the cold edge of the roof.
