What This Service Involves

Timberline Solar combines energy-producing solar shingles with GAF's roofing system, so the panels are part of the roof rather than racked on top of it. The low-profile design lays flatter and looks more like a traditional shingle roof than bulky bolt-on arrays. For Puget Sound homeowners, it offers a way to capture energy during our long summer daylight while keeping a clean, integrated appearance. Because it installs with nails like a standard shingle, it can go on as part of a normal roofing workflow. It appeals to owners who want solar without compromising the look of their roof.

Our Process

1) Remove old roofing and confirm the deck can support the integrated system; 2) Install underlayment and the surrounding architectural shingles as a weather barrier; 3) Lay and fasten the Timberline Solar shingles and complete electrical connections with a qualified electrician; 4) Detail ridges, flashings, and penetrations for a fully watertight finish
